Sunrise

#65 Untitled

I run through the brush,

Past trees and animals,

Falling, tripping over rocks and roots,

Just trying to get away.

Tears streaming down my face,

I run faster and faster,

My legs give way,

I fall to the ground,

Break down and cry.

A hand reaches down,

I look up into his eyes,

He wants to help me,

Make me safe again.

I’m not sure though,

Then I look into his eyes once again.

We look at each other for a moment,

Our eyes each locked on one anther.

His hand is still out,

I take it,

He will not harm me.
